Admiral Tan Sri Abdul Rahman bin Ayob was born on 2nd Dec 1964 in Johor Bahru, Johor. He joined the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) as an Officer Cadet on 2nd July 1982 and was commissioned as a Sub Lieutenant on 13th June 1984. Starting 27th January 2023, he assumed his current position as the 18th Chief of Navy.
In 1993, Admiral Tan Sri Abdul Rahman completed his submarine training at HMAS PLATYPUS, Australia and obtained his Submarine Qualification Badge. He attended a series of submarine familiarization training in Sweden (1995) France (1999) and completed his Basic Submarine Course (AGOSTA Class) in 2006 in France.
He was the first Naval Region 2 Commander to be based in Sandakan from 30th August 17 following the establishment of the Eastern Fleet Command in Kota Kinabalu. He also had the opportunity to serve as the Deputy Head of Mission of the International Monitoring Team (IMT-8) at Mindanao, Philippines, the Eastern Fleet Commander and as the Deputy Chief of Navy.
Admiral Tan Sri Abdul Rahman is also a graduate of Malaysia Armed Forces Staff College Haigate, Kuala Lumpur in 1998 and obtained his Diploma in Defence and Strategic Studies in the same year. He is also a fellow of the Centre of Defence and Strategic Studies, Australia and obtained his Master of Arts (Strategic Studies) in 2011 from Deakin University, Australia.
Admiral Tan Sri Abdul Rahman is married to Puan Sri Dr Norinah binti Mustapha and is blessed with four children. Admiral Tan Sri Abdul Rahman is a tennis player and a keen golfer.

VAdm Dato’ Zulhelmy bin Ithnain was born on 2 Jan 1968 in Dato’ Keramat, Kuala Lumpur. He joined the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) as Cadet Officer on 6th August 1986 and was commissioned two years later as a Sub-Lieutenant in the Executive Branch. In his 37 years of service, he held various appointments at sea as well as ashore. Among his previous appointments were Navigation Officer and Executive Officer onboard KD KRIS (PC), Navigation Officer onboard KD GANYANG (FAC M), Gunnery Officer onboard KD PAUS (FAC G), Gunnery Officer of KD GANYANG (FAC M), Research Officer in the RMN Maritime and Tactical Centre, Warfare Instructor at Officers Training Centre and Principle Warfare Officer of the Frigate KD LEKIU. He had also served as Staff Officer Submarine in the Naval Headquarters before attending the submarine course in France and was the Commanding Officer of the RMN's first submarine, KD TUNKU ABDUL RAHMAN as well as Squadron Leader of the 1st Submarine Squadron.
VAdm Dato’ Zulhelmy attended several overseas courses pertaining to his specialization such as the Submarine Qualification Course in HMAS Platypus, Australia in 1993, Principle Warfare Officer Course in HMAS Dryad, United Kingdom in 1996 and the Submarine Course conducted by the French Navy Training Authority, NAVFCO in Brest, France from 2005 to 2009 where he obtained his Command Qualification onboard the Agosta Class Submarine before taking over command of the Scorpene Class Submarine, KD TUNKU ABDUL RAHMAN as her first Commanding Officer. He sailed the boat back to Malaysia from France, a historic journey that took almost two months.
VAdm Dato' Zulhelmy had also served in the Submarine Force and held several positions such as Commanding Officer of the RMN Submarine Training Centre, Deputy Submarine Force Commander and Acting Submarine Force Commander before attending the Royal College of Defence Studies in the United Kingdom for approximately one year. Then, he was appointed as the Assistant Chief of Staff Development (J5) at the Joint Force Headquarters. In
continuation of his service in the Submarine Force, he was appointed Submarine Force Commander from 26 February 2018 to 17 June 2018. He was appointed Assistant Chief of Staff for Plans and Development (N5) at the Royal Malaysian Navy Headquarters, Commander of Naval Region 1, President of the National Centre for Defence Studies (NCDS) and Deputy Chief of Navy from 11 August 2023. VAdm Dato' Zulhelmy is a 2001 graduate of the US NAVAL War College, Naval Staff College located in Newport, Rhode Island. He is also a graduate of the National Defence College of the Philippines, where he earned a master's degree in national security administration in 2012 and was honoured as an outstanding graduate in 2018.
VAdm Dato’ Zulhelmy is married to Cdr Datin Zamzelina binti Ahmad RMN (Rtd) and blessed with two children. In terms of sport, VAdm Dato’ Zulhelmy is a keen golfer. Datin Zamzelinais a retired naval officer and now running her own business.

Vice Admiral Dato’ Ts. Shamsuddin bin Hj Ludin was appointed as the 27th Commander Western Fleet Command within the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) on 18 October 2023.
Vice Admiral Dato’ Ts Shamsuddin bin Hj Ludin now commands Malaysia's oldest and largest naval command that includes vital assets categorised under Attack, Support and Patrol Flotilla. As the 27th Commander Western Fleet, he also oversees the HQ Naval Region 1, HQ Naval Region 3, HQ Naval Air, HQ Diving & Mine Warfare, HQ Western Logistics, HQ Lumut Naval Base and also the Maritime Tactical Centre. Vice Admiral Sam is in charge of overseeing the entire naval forces in Peninsular Malaysia. This includes a wide range of responsibilities, such as deploying sea and air assets, personnel, naval operations, and ensuring overall maritime security in the region.
Hailing from Baling, Kedah, Vice Admiral Sam began his career in the RMN as a Sub Lieutenant in January 1989, following his training at the Royal Malaysia Naval College. Over the course of his remarkable 36-year military career, he has held a wide range of positions, spanning from tactical and operational roles to strategic leadership positions.
In operational roles, he has held several noteworthy positions at sea. He served as the Senior Squadron Officer of 26th MCMV during his tenure as the Commanding Officer of KD MAHAMIRU. Additionally, he held the role of Senior Squadron Officer of the 23rd Frigate while serving as the Commanding Officer of KD JEBAT.
Ashore, he has gained valuable experience in higher-level assignments. Notably, he served in Naval Planning Development at Naval HQ where he played a pivotal role in making significant contributions to the RMN Transformation Programme for the modernisation of the navy. He has also led the Maritime Segment of International Defence Exhibitions the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace (LIMA) and possesses extensive experience in participating in and managing multilateral engagements. Other notable assignment at the Tri-Service level was as the Director General of Defence Cyber and Electromagnetic Division. Vice Admiral Sam steered Malaysian Armed Forces former Communication and Electronic Division to the new relevant brand with its core business in a wider spectrum of cyber and Electromagnetic domains.
In terms of his military and academic background, he earned a Master's degree in Management and Defence Studies from the University of Canberra, Australia. He also holds a Graduate Certificate in Maritime Studies from the University of Wollongong, Australia, and a Diploma in Human Resources Management from Open University Malaysia.
Additionally, he graduated from the Australian Command and Staff College and the U.S. Naval War College in Rhode Island. Military academic background includes training as a Maritime Principal Warfare Officer in the United Kingdom, Defence Resource Management at the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School, and participation in courses such as the Alumni of Strategic Courses at Cranfield University UK, the USA Combined Force Maritime Component Commander Course, and a Counter-Terrorism Course. He also completed a course on Armament and Defence Economy for the Asia-Pacific Region in collaboration with the French Institute for Higher Defence Studies.
In 2021, he was honoured as the Cyber Security Professional of the Year by Cyber Security Malaysia, acknowledging his remarkable contributions to cybersecurity initiatives. Additionally, he has been bestowed with the title of Adjunct Professor by the Malaysia MARA University of Technology and recognized as a Professional Technologist by the Malaysian Board of Technology.

Vice Admiral Datuk Hj Muhammad Ruzelme bin Hj Ahmad Fahimy was born on 16th June 1965 in Gopeng, Perak Darul Ridzuan. He joined the Royal Malaysian Navy on 3rd September 1984 and was commissioned on 6th November 1986. Throughout his service, he had served and was appointed as an Executing Officer and Communications Officer at KD KRIS, KD MUSYTARI, KD PARI, KD LEKIR, and KD KASTURI. He had also served as Commanding Officer of KD PARI and KD KEDAH represent as Senior Officer of the 17th PV Squadron.
He has held several appointments at the strategic level at the Navy HQ and Malaysia Arm Forces HQ. Among the posts were SO 1 Policy and Development of Human Resources Department, SO 1 Officer’s Management Service, Director of Operations Navy HQ, Director of Defense Operation Center, Assistant Chief of Staff Readiness in Western Fleet HQ, Commander Operational Readiness in HQ Operational Readiness, Deputy Inspectorate General & Inspectorate General RMN, Assistant Chief of Staff Human Resources and currently holding the appointments as Commander Eastern Fleet at the HQ Eastern Fleet since 20 January 2023.
He has attended several overseas courses such as Foreign Officer Minor War Vessel CO/XO Desig in Australia, Long Communication Course in India, Flight Deck Officer in the United Kingdom, and Naval Command College in Newport Rhode Island, United States. Academically, he graduated with a Master's Degree in Management and a Diploma in Strategic Studies from the University of Malaya.

RAdm Farizal Myeor joined the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) in 1987. He is a Gunnery Officer by specialization, graduated from INS DRONACHARYA, India in 1995. RAdm Farizal Myeor is an alumnus of the Royal Military College (Kuala Lumpur), Institute of Diplomatic and Foreign Relations (Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kuala Lumpur) and Malaysian Armed Forces Staff College (Kuala Lumpur). He possessed the Post Graduate Diploma in Strategic and Defence Studies from the University of Malaya in 2005, and Master Degree in Strategy and Diplomacy from the National University in 2012.He was the pioneer cohort of National Resilience College in 2020 and is a Fellow Scholar of National Defence University of Malaysia since 2020.
RAdm Farizal Myeor has extensive knowledge of working in the maritime security domain both at sea and shore establishments, and his own personal experiences as Co-Chairman of Navy-to-Navy meeting and other forms of multilateral frameworks during his tenures at the Navy Headquarters, Kuala Lumpur. His sea assignments were mostly of warfare related that include as the Commanding Officer and Principal Warfare Officer of KD LAKSAMANA HANG NADIM and KD LAKSAMANA TAN PUSMAH, both being Fast Missile Corvette. He had also served many years as the Commanding Officer, Executive Officer and Head of Training at PUSTAKMAR, the RMN Warfare Simulation Centre, that is responsible for the RMN’s tactical and operational level training, the Commanding Officer of the RMN Leadership Centre, the Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff for the Naval Education and Training Command, Chief of Staff for the RMN Readiness HQ and the Commanding Officer of RMN Maritime Warfare Centre (formerly PUSTAKMAR – rebranded). RAdm Farizal Myeor was the Deputy Western Fleet Commander prior to his current appointment as the Commander Naval Region 1 since 1 November 2022.
RAdm Farizal Myeor is very passionate in the capacity building of the Navy People, particularly to elevate the competency and proficiency of the RMN Fleet personnel. As the advisor and formerly the Warfare Trade Master for the RMN, he is adamant to review the RMN Warfare Competency Standard, alongside the new syllabus for warfare training for both officers and men in accordance with Competency Based Training and Assessment (CBTA) model, as the new training delivery for the RMN Fleet.
RAdm Farizal Myeor is married to Sharifah Balkhis Syed Salim and they are blessed with 4 wonderful children. He is an avid golfer and enjoy sport shooting and fishing in his leisure times.

Rear Admiral Dato' Khir Junaidi joined the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) in 1985 and received his basic naval training at the Naval Education and Training Centre, Lumut, Perak. He specializes as a Navigator and had served in various appointments in the RMN Fleet. He was the Navigation Officers of KD TOMBAK, KD GEMPITA, KD RAHMAT, KD KASTURI and KD LAKSAMANA MUHAMMAD AMIN and the Executive Officers of KTD KEPAH. He has also commanded the KD LAKSAMANA MUHAMMAD AMIN in 2007.
Rear Admiral Dato' Khir Junaidi also has vast experience in training. He was the Navigation Training Officer at Naval Education and Training Centre at KD PELANDOK, Staff Training Officer at Royal Malaysian Navy, Recruit Training Centre, Woodlands and as the Staff Officer 2 Operations and Planning, at Naval HQ. For his experienced he was given the honour to serve in the Malaysian Armed Forces HQ as Military Adviser to the Malaysian Armed Forces, Chief of Staff in 2004 and as the Naval Assistant to the Deputy Chief of Navy in 2005. He was also appointed as the Chief Staff Officer Exercise, in HQ Fleet Operational Command in Lumut, Perak in 2008. He served as the Defence Attaché of Malaysia, in Paris, France from 2010 till 2015. He was then appointed as Director of Naval Reserve, Naval Reserve Department, Royal Malaysian Navy Headquarters. He is appointed as the Deputy Commander Western Fleet, Western Command Fleet Headquarters from 2018 and appointed as Lumut Naval Base Headquarters Commander.
Rear Admiral Dato' Khir Junaidi belongs to the alumni of the University of New South Wales at ADFA, Australia and obtained Master in Defence and Strategic Studies in UNSW at ADFA, Canberra, Australia in 2006. He also holds a Diploma in Strategic and Defence Studies from the University of Malaya, Malaysia. In recognition of his services, Real Admiral Khir Junaidi had been awarded the “Pingat Pahlawan Angkatan Tentera”, “Pingat Perkhidmatan Setia”, “Pingat Perkhidmatan Am”, “Setia Mahkota Terengganu”, “Kesatria Mahkota Kelantan”, “Kesatria Mangku Negara” and “Kesatria Angkatan Tentera”.

Rear Admiral Dato’ Pahlawan Abd Halim bin Hj Shaari was born on 28 July 1966 in Kuala Kangsar, Perak. He graduated from the RMN Naval College in 1987. He holds master’s degrees in Social science from National University of Malaysia and Strategy and Development Studies from the Bangladesh University of Professional.
At sea, Rear Admiral Dato’ Pahlawan Abd Halim served onboard KD JEBAT (FFH 23), KD LAKSAMANA HANG NADIM (FSG 24), KD LAKSAMANA MUHAMMAD AMIN (FSG 24). KD KASTURI (CORVET 25), KD MAHAWANGSA (MPCSS), KD PERKASA (FAC M) AND KLD TUNAS SAMUDERA. He commanded KD JEBAT and KD LAKSAMANA HANG NADIM in West Fleet, Lumut. Rear Admiral Dato’ Pahlawan Abd Halim also served as Senior Officer Afloat when he was the Commanding officer of KD JEBAT.
His staff assignment includes duty at the Inspector General ATM, West Fleet Commander HQ as Assistance Chief of Staff Future Operation and Readiness, Commanding Officer of KD PELANDOK - RMN Enlisted Training Institute, KD SULTAN IDRIS I - RMN Officers Naval college.
Rear Admiral Dato’ Pahlawan Abd Halim, is a Principle Warfare Officer specialist who had served as the Operations Officer onboard numerous ships in RMN Fleet. His nearly three decades of experience include tenures at sea, ashore at various Headquarters, operational and training establishments. His career has been enriched with his vast experience at sea, training and operational duty both within RMN and with International Navies. He is an alumnus of the National Defence College, Bangladesh, Malaysian Armed Forces Defence College, Malaysian Armed Forces Staff College, Kuala Lumpur and Defence Resource Management Institute, Monterey, California, USA. He has been deeply engaged with training, shaping future leadership of the RMN. Whilst being part of the Readiness Department at the RMN Fleet Headquarters, he sharpened the combat skills and navigation of ships of the RMN Fleet.
Rear Admiral Dato’ Pahlawan Abd Halim has been awarded the country and state Medals and Lahad Datu medal where he was the Commanding Officer of KD JEBAT during the Lahad Datu, Sabah conflict. Rear Admiral Dato’ Pahlawan Abd Halim is married to Datin Dr Liliwati binti Ismail. They are blessed with a son Hirzan Halimi bin Dato’ Pahlawan Abd Halim.

First Admiral (FAdm) Mohd Razib bin Tahir was born on 28 August 1971 in Johor. He joined the RMN in 1990 and was commissioned in the Executive Branch on 1 July 1992. As a seaman officer, he has served with various RMN patrol vessels and Fast Attack Crafts. FAdm Razib qualified as Operation Officer in 2000 upon completing the International Principal Warfare Officer Course in HMAS DRYAD, United Kingdom. He later served as Principal Warfare Officer onboard KD LEKIR and KD JEBAT from 2001-2004. In 2005, FAdm Razib attended the Naval Staff Course at the United States Naval War College, Rhode Island.
FAdm Razib volunteered to be among the RMN pioneer submariners and commenced training in July 2005. As the first Executive Officer of KD TUN RAZAK, he was directly responsible for, and participated in, the long journey from France to her home port in 2010. He took command of the same boat from 2012-2014 and completed his role in the Submarine Headquarters as Head of the Submarine Training Centre and Chief of Staff from 2015-2019.
FAdm Razib holds a Master’s Degree in Defence Studies from the National University of Malaysia and a Master’s Degree in International Relations through Deakin University, Australia. He earned both degrees upon concluding the Malaysian Armed Forces Defence College in 2016 and the Defence and Strategic Studies Course in Australian War College in 2020.
On 24 December 2020, FAdm Razib was appointed as the sixth RMN Submarine Force Commander and subsequently promoted to First Admiral on 4 January 2021. FAdm Razib is married to Madam Rohaizah and blessed with four children.

First Admiral Dato' Hj Mohd Redzuan bin Haji Talib RMN was born on 28th Sep 1967 in Mambau Negeri Sembilan. He Joined the Navy on 1st Sep 1985 after completing his education at Mantin Secondary School. He assumed command as the 4th Commander of Naval Special Forces on 19th Feb 2020. Throughout his service, he has held a various number of appointments ashore as well as Commanding Officer of Unit 1 and Unit 2 PASKAL, Director of Joint Special Forces at Joint Force Head Quarters and his last appointment was a Chief of Staff Region 3 at Langkawi.
First Admiral Dato' Hj Mohd Redzuan has attended various professional and military courses throughout his career. This include Advanced Clearance Diving Course at HMS PENGUIN Australia and United Nations Peacekeeping Operations Contingent Commanders Course at Bangladesh. He is graduated of the Malaysia Armed Forces Defence College where he earned Master of Science in Defence and Strategic Studies.
He has a various experienced in serving other nations such as MINURSO Western Sahara and UNMIS Sudan as Military observer for United Nations peace keeping mission as well.
First Admiral Dato' Hj Redzuan is married with Datin Hajjah Hilda bt Mohd Nor and blessed with 4 children. He likes sports and during his free time, he likes to challenge himself for ultimate eco trails and playsquash.

First Admiral Ahmad Shafirudin bin Abu Bakar, the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) Naval Airwing Commander was born on 10th Feb 1971. He enrolled into the RMN in 1989 and commissioned on 1st July 1991.
He is a helicopter pilot by specialization and had held various significant appointments as a seaman officer and also as a naval aviator in the RMN throughout his years of service. As a seaman officer, he had served as an Executive Officer of KD SERAMPANG and KD SERI SEMBILAN as well as a navigator onboard KD PERDANA. He commanded KD LEKIR from 2012 till 2014. He also been appointed as a staff officer in several departments of RMN Headquarters.
Along the way, he succeeds to become Flight Commander and Flying Instructor in his carrier specialisation as a pilot and has served in the Royal Malaysian Air Force and the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department Air Unit as Operational Pilot.
Upon graduation from the Malaysian Armed Forces Defence College, he was appointed to the RMN Planning and Development Department, in 2016. His last appointment at the department was as Assistance Chief of Staff Planning and Development before he attended the Royal College of Defence Studies (RCDS) in July 2019.
First Admiral Ahmad Shafirudin holds a Master Degree in Maritime Policy from University of Wollongong, Australia and a Master Degree in Defence Strategy from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). On completion of his studies in RCDS, he was appointed as Naval Airwing Commander on 12th Oct 2020.

First Admiral Azeman bin Yusoff was born on 7th January 1965 in Cherang Ruku, Kelantan. He joined the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) on 7th July 1987 and was commissioned as sub-lieutenant on 24th June 1989.
Throughout his career in Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN), he participated in multiple courses including Junior Officer Warfare Course (1996) and Staff Course at Sekolah Staf dan Komando Angkatan Laut, Tentera National Indonesia (SESKOAL), Indonesia (2002 - 2004). While serving as Staff Officer 1 of Research and Development at Maritime and History Resource Centre (PUSMAS), he participated in the Masters of Management Programme at UNITAR International University, Malaysia and was conferred the Masters of Management Degree (MMgt) in the year 2012. In 2014, he was involved in the Malaysian Armed Forces Defence Course (MAFDC), Kuala Lumpur and was awarded the second Master’s Degree by Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in Strategic Defence Study (MSoc Sc DS).
He has a vast and immense experience in his line of duty. In his 35 years of service, he has served in 9 RMN ships. Among them included being Gunnery Officer on KD PERDANA (1997 – 1999), Surface Warfare Officer on KD LAKSAMANA TAN PUSMAH (1999 – 2002), Commanding Officer on KD BAUNG (2004 – 2006), Executive Officer on KD JEBAT (2007 - 2008), and Commanding Officer on KD LAKSAMANA HANG NADIM (2008 – 2010). He has also held various and diverse important positions including Administrative Director of Naval Headquarters, Kuala Lumpur (2015 - 2016), Chief of Staff for Naval Area 2 Headquarters (2018 – 2021), and Chief of Staff at Royal Malaysian Navy Reserves Headquarters (2021) before taking over the reins of Naval Reserves Headquarters on 20th December 2021.

Born on 28th February 1967 at Seremban, Negeri Sembilan. First Admiral Ts. Shaiful joined the Royal Military Navy (RMN) on 10th September 1985. He was commissioned as Acting Sub-Lieutenant on 14th June 1988 and was promoted to First Admiral on 15th June 2019. On 4th January 2022, he became the fifth Commander of Western Fleet Logistics Command.
During his tenure, First Admiral Ts. Rear Admiral Dato' Hanafiah bin Hassan was born in Kluang, Johor on 15th Feb 1967. He joined the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) on 16th Jan 1986 and was commissioned on 16th Jan 1988 as a Naval Officer in the Executive Branch with the rank of Acting Sub Lieutenant. He was inducted into the Naval Hydrographic Service on 16th Nov 1992 after completing the Basic Hydrographic Course at Japan Hydrographic Department, Tokyo. With his execellence service, he continue to rise in the hierarchy of RMN leadership. On 31st May 2018, he was appointted as the Director General of National Hydrographic Centre (NHC) with the rank of Rear Admiral.
Rear Admiral Dato' Hanafiah has held various appointment both at sea and ashore. His notable appointments are as Navigation Officer and Executive Officer of KD KELEWANG (Patrol Craft), Welfare Officer at Naval Region 1 Headquarters (HQ), Navigation Officer of KD MUTIARA (Survey ship), Staff Officer 3 Hydrography at RMN HQ, Hydrography and Oceanography Officer of KD PERANTAU (Survey ship), Commanding Officer of KD MUTIARA, Senior Director at the NHC and several other key positions. Through a exchange programme with Royal New Zealand Navy, Rear Admiral Dato' Hanafiah gained considerable hydrographic surveying experience on board HMNZS MONOWAI from 1995 to 1997.
Rear Admiral Dato' Hanafiah has attended several courses locally and abroad. He graduated with distinction in The Long Hydrographic Course from National Institute in Hydrography, India in 1997. He attended the Malaysian Command and Staff Course at The Malaysian Armed Forces Staff College in 2003 and obtained Diploma in Strategic and Defence Studies. He graduated from the Malaysian Armed Forces Defence College in 2010 with a Master of Arts in Defence Studies. In September 2016, Rear Admiral Dato' Hanafiah graduated from The National Defence University, Beijing China. On 25th Jan 2009, Rear Admiral Dato' Hanafiah was awarded the “Hydrographic H Charge” award by Chief of Navy for the highest Grade of Hydrographic Expertise.
As a Director General of NHC, Rear Admiral Dato' Hanafiah often represents Malaysia for meetings or seminars organized by the International Hydrographic Organisation and the East Asia Hydrographic Commission. He is also been appointted as the member of several Committees such as Technical Committee Working Group Joint Hydrographic Survey Malaysia and Singapore, Technical Committee Delimitation Malaysia and Indonesia, Working Committee for Marine Electronic Highway, The Hydrographic Surveyors Competency Evaluation Committee, Executive Committee of the Port Hydrographic Information Management and several other local an International Committees.
Rear Admiral Dato' Hanafiah was appointted as the Chairman of the Joint Task Team of Malaysia in search of Malaysia Airlines MH370 at the Joint Agency Coordination Centre, Canberra, Australia from 25th May 2014 to 1st November 2014. He was responsible in advising and determine the needs of the assets which were deployed for the search mission. In addition to that, he was an intermediary between Malaysia and Australia Technical High Level Task Force.

Rear Admiral Yusne bin Mokhtar was born on May 23, 1969, in Selangor. He joined the Royal Malaysian Navy in 1988 and has held various positions both on ships and at bases throughout his service. Rear Admiral Yusne has pursued various career courses and academic studies abroad throughout his career. Rear Admiral Abdullah Sani bin Ismail was born in Jertih, Terengganu on 12 Sep 67 and married Dr Normawati binti Hj Ibrahim on 11 Oct 97 and was blessed with 4 children, 3 girls and a boy.
He started serving in the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) on 1 Sep 85 and was subsequently commissioned as a RMN Officer on 1 Sep 87 in the General Duty List of the Executive Branch. Due to the excellence of his duties, he continued to rise in the leadership hierarchy of TLDM by holding the rank of First Admiral (equivalent to Brigadier General of the Malaysian Army and the Royal Malaysian Air Force). He was posted as Commander of Naval Diving and Mine Warfare (PANGSEPI) at the Headquarters of Naval Diving and Mine Warfare (Mk SPPA). He has been promoted to Rear Admiral on 29th January 2024 and now he is posted as Inspector General, Royal Malaysian Navy Headquarters since 2th January 2024.
Throughout his service period, he has been employed on ships and base units of TLDM including as Commanding Officer at KD KELEWANG, Executive Officer at KD MUSYTARI and KD PENDEKAR, Policy and Training Officer at the Submarine Force Project Development Branch, Naval Headquarters, Assistant Chief of Operations Staff and War and Chief of Staff Acting Commander of the Submarine Force at the Submarine Force Headquarters, Commanding Officer and Senior Officer of the Fleet and Senior Officer of the 22nd Corvette Squadron KD LEKIR and Assistant Chief of Staff for Alertness at the West Fleet Command Headquarters (Readiness and Performance Division) as well as several other important positions. He has carried out the tasks entrusted to him with professionalism, full of dedication and commitment.
While serving on TLDM ships, he was often involved in various operations and exercises in the waters of Sabah, the South China Sea (Spratly Reef Area), the waters of the East Coast of the Peninsula and the Malacca Strait. He is also heavily involved in every exercise carried out by TLDM with foreign countries such as Bilateral Exercise and Five Power Defense Arrangement (FPDA). While serving as an Exercise Planning Officer, he was assigned to plan exercises for TLDM ships in joint exercises with foreign countries such as Singapore, the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Brunei, the United States, Australia and New Zealand. With this kind of exercise, it has indirectly strengthened diplomatic relations between Malaysia and the countries involved.
As the Assistant Chief of Operations and Warfare Staff at the TLDM Submarine Force Headquarters, he has successfully played a role in ensuring that aspects of submarine operations are in accordance with the unit's operating policy. He is also the main pillar of several successes achieved by the Submarine Force Headquarters such as the achievement of the 4 Star Award during the AIMS Accountability Index Financial Management Audit from 2010 to 2012, the Champion of the Innovation Award of the Ministry of Defense in 2011 and the Runner-up of the Innovation Award of the Ministry of Defense in 2012 (Submarine Foundation Training (SubFT). In addition, he also helped the unit to be selected to represent TLDM in the ATM Star Rating System Audit by the Malaysian Administration Modernization and Management Planning Unit (MAMPU) as well as ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System and Management System Recognition Occupational Health and Safety OHSAS 18001:2007.
Throughout his tenure as PANGSEPI at Mk SPPA, there have been several encouraging achievements obtained by the headquarters such as a 4-star rating in the Year 2021 Readiness Audit from 15 to 19 March 21 and also the awarding of the ISO 45001:2018 certificate by SIRIM Berhad in the aspect of prioritizing safety culture as well as occupational health on 3 March 21.
Rear Admiral Abdullah Sani is also active in activities and programs organized by the local community, such as the Military Entering the Village Program (TMD), the Pure Soul Project and mutual aid activities. In order to complete himself with knowledge and experience, he has had the opportunity to attend several courses either in the country or abroad, among them the Submarine Course in Karachi, Pakistan and Australia, the Language Translation Course at the University of Malaya, the Staff Course in the United States, the Submarine Course Fleet Manager Training in Spain, ATM Readiness Workshop Course at the Ministry of Defense as well as several other courses in accordance with his expertise and field of work.

A submariner by trade, RAdm. Baharudin was appointed as the first Commanding Officer of RMN submarine KD TUN RAZAK after taking it from built in November 2009. He went on to assumed responsibility as Commander of RMN Submarine Squadron in August 2011. His other appointments as a staff in the submarine force include as head of Submarine Training Centre and Chief of Staff, Submarine Force HQ. Prior to that, he had served various ashore as well as sea going appointments which includes as warfare officer of Frigate KD JEBAT, Commanding Officer and Commander of a Patrol Squadron, staff officer in Human Resource and in Naval Plan.
He reported to Navy HQ in 2017 where he was subsequently promoted and appointed as Chief Transformation Officer of the Navy where he was responsible for the formulation, planning, execution and overseeing transformation programme for the Royal Malaysian Navy. RAdm. Baharudin was then appointed as Inspector General of the Navy before he returned and assumed command as Submarine Force Commander in June 2019. Upon of excellent performance, he was then appointed as Director for Exercise at Malaysian Armed Forces Joint Force HQ in January 2022 and currently as Assistant Chief of Staff Human Resources, Human Resources Department, Royal Malaysian Navy HQ starting 5th January 2023.
RAdm Baharudin has attended various professional courses throughout his career. Among others, he is a distinguished graduate of United States Naval War College, Newport, Rhode Island as well as the recipient of the prestigious Captain Walter B. Woodson award in 2004. He hold a Master Degree in National Security Administration from National Defence College in The Philippines where he earned a letter of commendation for academic excellence. He is also a National Resilience College 2021 award holder and a fellow at National Defence University of Malaysia.
Throughout his career, he has been honoured with several medals and decorations in recognition of his service. These includes Anugerah Tokoh ANSARA 2013, Pingat Kesatria Angkatan Tentera, Darjah Setia Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah and Darjah Pahlawan Angkatan Tentera. In 2012, RAdm. Baharudin was honoured with Chevalier de I’Ordre National de la Legion d’Honneur, a French order of merit for military and civil deeds. RAdm. Baharudin is also a member of Malaysian Nature Society, a non-profit organization that promotes activities related to protection and conservation of Malaysia’s natural heritage.

Rear Admiral Hj Satria Sarawak joined Royal Malaysian Navy and was commissioned on 6 Dec 1986. He has specialized in the Supplies and Secretariat fields.
In the early stage of his services, he underwent training at KD NEGERI SEMBILAN, KD SRI INDERASAKTI and Naval Area 1 HQ, Kuantan. Subsequently, he was the first officer assigned as the Supply Officer at RMN Station LIMA in 1988 and as the Staff Officer of the Offshore Unit at Naval Area 2 HQ, Labuan.
During his 38 years of service, he has served as Staff Officer 3 in the Human Resources of Material Department at the RMN HQ. He continued to show outstanding performances in several other crucial positions as the Staff Officer 1 Supply, Director of Finance / Budget, Director of Materiel Development and Senior Director of Material. Apart from that, he also served in the Planning and Operations Division as the Staff Officer 1 that bears the responsibility for the management of RMN development projects and the logistic aspect of a ship operating abroad.
In 1993, Rear Admiral Hj Satria Sarawak has served as an instructor and Head of the Computer Centre at one of the RMN naval training institutions, KD PELANDOK. He also served as ACoS Logistics / Material Commander at Lumut Naval Base HQ of KD MALAYA as well as Commanding Officer of the Western Fleet Supply Depot. In terms of tri-services, he has served as the Director of the Logistics and Support Division in the Defence Logistics Division at the MAF HQ. He also served abroad as the ILS and Catalogue Officer for the Second Corvette Project Team in Italy. He is also known for being one of the pioneers in the establishment of the National Task Force in May 2020 and he was the first officer assigned as J4 ACoS and Logistics Component Commander in the organisation. He has served as the Commander of Eastern Naval Logistic on 15 Dec 2020 and subsequently as Assistant Chief of Staff Material since 8 February 2023.
Furthermore, Rear Admiral Hj Satria Sarawak is a professional member of both the Charted Malaysia Institute of Logistics and Transport and the American Society of Quality. He also served as the Co-Chairman of Logistics for the FPDA for two years and he was representing the MAF attended the Joined Armed Forces the Pacific Area Senior Officer Logistics (PASOLS) Seminar in Japan and China with the scope of Humanitarian Aid and Disaster Relief. He holds Masters degree in EBM from the University of Warwick, United Kingdom.

Dato’ Adli Chung is a keen writer and has authored 3 books. Besides that, his write-up and articles are published regularly in several magazines as well as bulletins.
Dato’ Adli Chung is passionate about innovation. Currently he has invented not less than 3 new innovations, of which 2 of the said innovations had been patented in accordance with Copyright Act 1987 (Act 332), and one of the patents has been implemented, or "commercialized".
Dato’ Adli Chung has excellent academic standing. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with First Class Honours from University of Technology Malaysia (UTM), a Master Degree with Distinction in Engineering Science from University of New South Wales, Australia and a Diploma in Defence & Strategic Studies from University of Malaya.
Dato’ Adli Chung is an active sportsman. Back in the early 90s, he was a RMN Taekwondo athlete that participated in Malaysia Armed Forces tournament and numerous States Championship. Currently he actively enrolled in most of extreme sports races held in Malaysia or internationally, such as IRONMAN. Meanwhile, he is still an in-date Naval Ship Diver since 1992. He is also a qualified Lifesaver, awarded the Bronze Medallion in 2019.
Throughout his 37 years of service, Dato' Adli Chung has coined numerous initiatives and continuous improvement programmes that were beyond the call of duty. All the efforts paid off with savings up to RM500 million to the Government and has enhanced the operational readiness of the Fleet. Due to his exceptional service, in 2021 he was awarded the Chief of Navy Medal of Honour (CN Honour), which is the highest award and recognition in the RMN.

First Admiral Azman bin Rabani was born in Alor Gajah, Melaka on 26 November 1972. His military career started when he joined the Royal Malaysian Navy Training College as Officer Cadet Intake 44 on 2 July 1993 and was commissioned as a RMN officer on 8 July 1995.
First Admiral Azman bin Rabani took over as Assistant Chief of Staff for Communications Warfare and Information Systems Division on 12 Apr 21. Previously, he was entrusted to hold various important positions such as Commanding Officer of KD LEKIR, Director of Human Resource at Naval Headquarters, Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations at Western Fleet Command Headquarters and Director of International Relations at Naval Headquarters.

First Admiral Kamaruddin bin Omar embarked on a fulfilling career in the Royal Malaysian Navy in 1985, achieving commissioning in the Executive Branch by 1987. Throughout his distinguished service, he navigated a diverse array of responsibilities both at sea and on shore.
His tenure included pivotal roles aboard various vessels such as KD SRI NEGRI SEMBILAN, (Patrol Craft), KD JERAI and KD MAHAMIRU (MCMV), KD SRI INDERA SAKTI (Multi Purpose Command and Support Ship) and the remarkable experience aboard Sail Training Ship KLD TUNAS SAMUDERA during its circumnavigation of the globe from 2007 to 2008. Transitioning ashore, First Admiral Kamaruddin contributed significantly at establishments like KD PELANDOK, KD MALAYA and the Royal Malaysian Navy HQ within the Ministry of Defence.
